Lotus Cave

  

The Lotus Flower Cave is nearly 500 metres long. Stalactites are scattering along the cave with different shapes. The most unique and strange scene is that there are l08 stalactites like lotus flowers and leaves floating on the water, on which are full of smooth and round jade-like stones. They seem like lotus seeds. It is called the wonder of a lotus pond. At present,except six "stalactites plates" in a place have been found in Yugoslavia,nowhere in the world has found so many truly-alike "plates" than the Lotus Flower Cave. It is really a wonder in the world and a rare natural treasure in our country.

 

Da Yuan Forestry Centre lies in the northeast of Xing Ping Township,Yangshuo County. It has a history over 40 years with a total area of 8.594 hectares, high mountains, thick forests and rich water resources. Meanwhile it has all kinds of rare birds, wild animals and aquatic resources, such as turtledoves, thrushes,Chinese bulbuls, pangolin, wild goats, masked civets,monkeys, wild oxen wild boars,tortoises and giant salamanders etc.
